Work Schedule:

This position is full-time and remote Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage.

Purpose of Your Work:

As a Director – Strategic Sales within the sales team working within Redwood Multimodal, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets to meet planned objectives and develop strategic sales strategies to align with company goals. A key function of the position is to leverage Redwood’s differentiated Modern 4PL solution drive the growth of your strategic sales opportunities, while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

How You Make a Difference Everyday:

  • Play an important role in executing and creating Redwood’s Modern 4PL (M4PL) brokerage sales plan by developing and executing your personal sales growth strategy for your pipeline, for your personal brand and within the overall Enterprise Sales team.
  • Promote and sell Redwood’s full Services Suite. Including FLT, LTL, Parcel, outsourced freight management, distribution and project management services.
  • Leverage Redwood’s innovative technology/TMS and Platform Services offerings to current and potential clients
  • Work with your fellow teammates to achieve individual and team goals, and create a funpositive, and inspiring sales culture throughout the organization
  • Collaborate with VP/Director - Strategic Sales and Operational Leadership to promptly resolve escalated customer service issues
  • Build a qualified pipeline focused on goal-oriented sales and new logo growth
  • Sales outreach and prospecting to current and potential customers, focusing on Redwood’s Move Services
  • Effectively manage transportation RFP’s throughout the entire sales cycle, communicating both internally and externally with key stakeholders
  • Consult with the customer to offer various solutions that will solve current supply chain challenges while enabling future scale
  • Understand customer requirements and scope to qualify potential opportunities
  • Identify potential customer roadblocks to selecting and implementing a managed solution, and work internally and externally to strategically solve the potential challenges
  • Develop and present customer facing presentations across all Redwood service lines
  • Collect requirements for, manage, and facilitate customer presentations
  • Effectively transition customer solutions from the sales cycle to the appropriate delivery teams
  • Participate in QBR’s and continuous improvement feedback loops with the customer to drive organic growth within the current book of business
  • Recommend sales strategies for improvements based on managed services market research and competitor analysis
  • Maintain strategic customer and Redwood partner relationships
  • Manage a multiple channel selling strategy
  • Report on department activity as requested
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

You’ve Got This?

  • Minimum 7 years demonstrated sales experience focused on LTL, Brokerage and Outsourced Managed Services
  • Minimum 5 years experience in strategic selling into multiple transportation service offerings
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience delivering or managing supply chain solutions
  • Proficient with Industry Managed Service capabilities; ability to articulate value and ROI drivers to prospective customers
  • Strong negotiation, communication, analysis, and networking skills from C-level to end user
  • Significant industry / shipper contacts
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to business need and/or industry changes
  • Strategic thinker
  • Travel as needed to meet sales objectives; up to 50%
  • No non-compete /non solicitation restrictions prohibiting you from performing
