Environment: Hybrid

Status: Exempt; Salaried

 

Work Schedule:

This position is full-time and hybrid Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage.

Purpose of Your Work:

As an International Operations Representative working within Supply Chain Solutions (one of our entities), you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of our international logistics operations. You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the movement of freight, from booking to delivery, while maintaining the highest standards of efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of our operations team.

 

How You Make a Difference Everyday:

  • Coordinate and oversee the booking of shipments with carriers, ensuring timely scheduling and allocation of resources.
  • Communicate with customers, carriers, and vendors to obtain necessary documentation, shipping instructions, and other relevant information.
  • Monitor and track shipments throughout the transportation process, proactively addressing any issues or delays that may arise.
  • Collaborate with customs brokers to ensure compliance with import/export regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to arrange for loading, unloading, and storage of freight as needed.
  • Provide support to the sales team by preparing quotes, proposals, and contracts for potential customers.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and other documentation using our internal systems.
  • Assist in the resolution of billing discrepancies, disputes, and other operational issues as they arise.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continually improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive process improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.

 

You’ve Got This?

  • Previous experience in international operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in the freight forwarding industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software, Cargowise, TMS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of international shipping regulations, INCO terms, and customs procedures is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
