Southern Border Carrier Sales and Operations – Carrier Rep Mex

Reports To: Senior Carrier Sales & Ops
Location: Monterrey
Environment: Hybrid (about 3 days onsite; 2 remote)

Work Schedule:

This position is full-time and hybrid Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM with an hour break, but flexibility based on coverage. There are some after-hour and weekend expectations – the typical work week is about 48 hours.

Purpose of Your Work:

As a Southern Border Carrier Sales and Operations – Carrier Rep Mex , you will play a crucial role working within Redwood Multimodal (one of our business units) by identifying, sourcing, and developing strong business relationships with service providers to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction as well as understand and executing Redwood operation excellence

Responsibilities:

· Expand knowledge of the transportation industry within carrier sales and Redwood operations
· Build and maintain new and current strategic carrier profiles through research and networking and aligning Redwood truckload sales opportunities
· Actively engage carrier partners primarily by phone, targeting 50+ dials per day
· Negotiate freight rates with motor carriers to maximize profitability on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly basis
· Coordinate available customer freight with available motor carrier equipment, while utilizing Redwoods internal postings
· Consistently provide service and support to motor carriers to build the business relationship
· Execute exceptional customer service and resolve issues timely when needed
· Track and monitor shipments to proactively address any issues or delays during transit
· Verify all freight charges, confirm receipt of Bill of Lading, and resolve all payables discrepancies prior to final payment to motor carrier
· Monitor Bill of Lading discrepancies to ensure proper return of commodity is arranged, as necessary
· Research, contact, and develop new carrier relationships to leverage a portfolio of carrier networks to introduce new capacity to customer sales opportunities
· Build understanding of macro-market conditions and how it has an impact on truckload rates and capacity

Qualifications:

· Bilingual in English and Spanish
· Strong communication skills both orally and written
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
· Excellent networking, negotiation and problem-solving skills
· Pro-active listener; ability to multi-task
· Results-driven
· Minimum 3 years of business experience in transportation and/or freight brokerage
· Flexible; ability to change focus quickly to meet demands according to market conditions and/or company needs
· Embrace team atmosphere and be willing to offer help wherever needed

· Eligible for bonus after 3 months, payable on a monthly basis. Amount is discretional and directly related to our NR contribution as a team. Company reserves the right to adjust commission or bonus incentive programs at any time with written notice.
