Purpose of Your Work:

The 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading all Inbound Receiving, Put Away, Inventory Control, and Intralogistics Picking operations supporting production across a high-SKU, fast-paced warehouse environment

This role oversees a multi-functional team of full-time employees and temporary associates within a 3-shift operation. The Supervisor ensures operational excellence, production support continuity, inventory accuracy, labor efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards while driving accountability and performance across the shift.

How You Make a Difference Everyday:

Operational Leadership

  • Lead all 2nd shift inbound receiving, put away, inventory control, and production picking activities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of FTL, LTL, and parcel inbound shipments.
  • Drive efficient pallet movement and slotting strategies to support high-SKU inventory.
  • Oversee intralogistics picking operations to ensure uninterrupted production line support.
  • Coordinate shift transition with 1st and 3rd shift leadership to ensure continuity.

Inventory & Systems Management

  • Maintain high inventory accuracy across 20,000+ SKUs.
  • Monitor and manage cycle counting, discrepancy research, and root cause analysis.
  • Utilize JD Edwards (JDE) and RF scanning systems to ensure real-time inventory integrity.
  • Ensure proper system transactions for receipts, transfers, picks, and adjustments.

Production Support & Service Levels

  • Ensure production cells are supplied on-time and in-full.
  • Prioritize urgent production requests and manage workflow accordingly.
  • Collaborate with production leadership to anticipate material demand fluctuations.
  • Monitor pick accuracy, response time, and staging discipline.

Labor & Workforce Management

  • Supervise a team of warehouse associates and temporary labor.
  • Manage staffing levels to meet daily workload and frequent Saturday schedules.
  • Coach, train, and develop employees to improve performance and cross-functional capability.
  • Conduct performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and attendance management.
  • Partner with staffing agencies to ensure quality temporary labor support.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety policies and maintain OSHA compliance.
  • Conduct daily safety audits and shift start-up meetings.
  • Ensure safe forklift, reach truck, and material handling equipment operation.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and safe work behaviors.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive improvements in receiving dock flow, slotting optimization, and pick path efficiency.
  • Analyze labor productivity, dock-to-stock time, and inventory accuracy metrics.
  • Lead root cause investigations on inventory variances and service failures.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce overtime and improve shift efficiency.

You’ve Got This?

  • 3–5+ years of warehouse leadership experience in a high-volume distribution or production support environment.
  • Experience managing inbound receiving, put away, and inventory control.
  • Experience supporting intralogistics or production-based picking operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of JD Edwards (JDE) or comparable ERP system.
  • RF scanner and WMS proficiency.
  • Experience supervising employees and temporary labor in a multi-shift environment.
  • Ability to work frequent Saturdays.

Work Schedule:

This position is full-time and onsite Monday through Friday from 200pm to 1030pm. Saturday availability required based on production and customer needs

Compensation Range:

Salary Range:

$30.00/hr-$35.00/hr

This position is eligible to earn (annual) incentives based on individual and company performance.

The estimated pay range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the geographical location in which the applicant lives and/or which they will be performing the job.
