Purpose of Your Work:
As a Carrier Relations Analyst,?you will be responsible for operating a North America transportation strategy for our Redwood SCS Managed solution and the successful execution of that strategy. The role focuses on vendor QBR’s, Vendor Management Strategy, Core Strategic Account Support, FP&A Vendor Management Strategy and Communication, Project Management, Strategic Vendor RFP Audience Selection, FFM Strategic Network Management, New Vendor Profile Management.
How You Make a Difference Everyday:
- Advising and analyzing the North America Procurement transportation strategy for TL, LTL, Intermodal, Parcel and Air freight
- Profile new Carriers/Service Providers to Redwood SCS
- Manage and conduct current, historical and market rate analysis, perform quarterly impact bench marking studies, conduct quarterly QBR’s
- Support and Develop Carrier of the Quarter and Year Program with Benchmarks and Initiatives
- Work with the Procurement and Technology Department to assist on customer reporting and performance metrics
- Profile new vendor leads and implement with correct customer networks
- Help manage any new customer projects or initiatives while working with the Procurement and Technology Team
- Understand our customer networks and continue to develop, support, and drive down customer costs
- Work with the SCS Audit Team to drive down and develop strategies that will eliminate any vendor aging issues

You’ve Got This?
- At least 2 years of combined experience in carrier Procurement and Logistics/Operations
- Solid understanding of transportation Carrier/Service Providers contracts, all modes, transit time, and networks
- Understanding of mode rate structures (such as Air, TL, LTL, Parcel and International)
- Understand the FP&A Audit Process and Payment Process to Vendors
- Understand reporting trends and translate into verbal direction to impact results
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Availability to travel 5-10% of the time
Desired Skills
- Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment; consult with team members and management as needed
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills with ability to multitask
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, working knowledge of Tableau
- Familiar with any TMS platform (Mercury Gate and Oracle Transportation Management) as well as DAT-TransCore, PC Miler, Rand McNally, Tableau Reporting, Triumph Pay, EDI integration, MacroPoint

Work Schedule:
This position is full-time and hybrid Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage.
Compensation Range:
Salary Range:
$55,000 - $65,000
This position is eligible to earn quarterly incentives based on individual and company performance.
The estimated pay range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the geographical location in which the applicant lives and/or which they will be performing the job.
