Purpose of Your Work:

As Manager of Business Development working within our Brokerage (one of our entities), you will be responsible for management and developing a team of Business Development Representatives, fostering strong customer relationships, and ensuring alignment with company goals.

How You Make a Difference Everyday:

Strategic Leadership & Team Management

  • Act as the primary link between the Business Development team and the Vice President – Business Development, ensuring clear communication and strategic alignment
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Representatives by providing daily operational oversight, training, removing roadblocks, and performance feedback

Client Relationship Enhancement & Growth

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the team’s portfolio of existing key customer accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts by cross-selling and up-selling multimodal freight solution

Operational Collaboration & Solution Delivery

  • Promote strong cross-functional communication across internal teams to ensure seamless execution of customer solutions and resolve escalated issues promptly

Reporting & Analysis

  • Stay current on industry trends and customer activity to inform strategy and drive improvements
  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, revenue, customer retention, and pipeline health

You’ve Got This?

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of proven leadership or team management experience. Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate, mentor, and empower a sales team
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive sales or account management experience within the freight brokerage or 3PL industry
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving industry and adapt quickly to changing business needs and market conditions
  • Comfortable with data, reporting, and metrics to drive performance and accountability
  • Ability to travel on occasion (less than 10%)

Work Schedule:

This position is full-time and hybrid (onsite 4 days a week) Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage.

Compensation Range:

Salary Range:

$50,000 - $100,000

This position is eligible to earn monthly incentives based on individual and company performance.

The estimated pay range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the geographical location in which the applicant lives and/or which they will be performing the job.
