Purpose of Your Work:
As a Senior Warehouse Manager working within Redwood Distribution, you will be responsible for leading the launch and ongoing operation of a multi-shift warehouse focused on inbound receiving and intra-logistics support for production lines. This role serves as the primary operational point of contact for the customer, ensuring clear communication, service-level performance, and rapid issue resolution. The Warehouse Manager will play a key role during new warehouse startup activities, including staffing, process design, system implementation, and go-live execution.
How You Make a Difference Everyday:
Customer Communication & Service
- Serve as the primary day-to-day operational liaison between the warehouse and the customer
- Lead daily, weekly, and monthly customer touchpoints during launch and steady-state operations
- Communicate inbound schedules, material availability, shortages, and recovery plans
- Translate customer requirements into clear execution plans across all shifts
- Proactively escalate risks to production or service levels with corrective action plans
Warehouse Operations (Inbound & Intra-Logistics)
- Oversee inbound receiving, unloading, verification, and put-away of materials
- Manage internal material movement, picking, kitting, staging, and line-side delivery
- Ensure materials are delivered accurately, on time, and in sequence to support production
- Establish standard work for dock operations, material flow, and internal transportation
- Coordinate dock schedules, labor allocation, and internal material routes
New Warehouse Launch Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and onboard supervisors and hourly associates
- Develop shift structures, labor plans, and startup ramp curves
- Create standard operating procedures and shift handoff processes
- Stabilize operations post-launch and drive performance to target KPIs
Multi-Shift Leadership & Labor Management
- Lead a 3-shift operation including supervisors, leads, and hourly teams
- Ensure consistent execution and communication across all shifts
- Manage staffing, overtime, cross-training, and coverage for absences or volume spikes
- Coach and develop supervisors with a focus on leadership, communication, and accountability
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Own warehouse safety performance and promote a strong safety culture
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, company policies, and customer requirements
- Conduct regular safety audits, observations, and corrective actions
- Maintain high standards for material handling quality and housekeeping
Inventory Control & Systems
- Ensure accurate receiving and inventory transactions within the WMS
- Partner with inventory control teams on cycle counts and root cause analysis
- Monitor scanning compliance and inventory accuracy
- Leverage system data to drive operational improvements
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
- Track and improve KPIs including inbound accuracy, dock-to-stock time, on-time line delivery, inventory accuracy, labor productivity, and safety
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for service failures
- Identify process, layout, and labor optimization opportunities

- 5+ years of warehouse or distribution leadership experience
- Experience managing multi-shift operations
- Strong background in inbound receiving and production support logistics
- Proven customer-facing communication experience
- WMS experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Employment is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a background check, a pre-employment drug screening in accordance with applicable federal law, and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
Work Environment:
Warehouse environment with exposure to dock operations and material handling equipment. Position requires flexibility to support multiple shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.

Work Schedule:
This position is full-time and onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage. Saturdays are required as needed by the customer.
Compensation Range:
Salary Range:
$75,000 - $95,000
This position is eligible to earn annual incentives based on individual and company performance.

The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the geographical location in which the applicant lives and/or which they will be performing the job.
